Graphite Square Block is a regularly shaped graphite profile fabricated from high-purity isostatic graphite raw materials through high-temperature graphitization and densification treatment, compression molding, and precision CNC machining.
Featuring dense and uniform structure, high purity, zero porosity and high dimensional accuracy, it boasts excellent properties including high temperature resistance, thermal shock resistance, self-lubricity, corrosion resistance and low deformation tendency. It serves as a standard basic graphite profile widely used in metallurgy and casting, mechanical molds, high-temperature equipment and laboratory testing.
This graphite block features uniform hardness, dense internal grains and low porosity. It has good high-temperature oxidation resistance and achieves smooth chip removal during EDM and precision machining. With excellent dimensional stability, it reduces scrap rate in subsequent processing. Various standard blanks are in stock, and custom specifications are available. Q: Are graphite blocks available in different material grades? What are the main differences?
A: Multiple grades are available. Grades are differentiated by resistivity, grain size and impregnation status. Select the proper grade according to the working conditions of EDM electrodes or vacuum furnace tooling.
Q: Can graphite block blanks be sliced and surface ground?
A: Slicing, surface grinding and edge chamfering services are available. Please inform us of the machining allowance reserved for your subsequent processing.
Q: Is vacuum impregnation optional for graphite blocks?
A: Yes. Impregnated type reduces open porosity. Non-impregnated raw blanks can also be supplied if impregnation is not required for your working condition.
Q: What information is required for inquiries on custom specifications?
A: Please provide finished dimensions, required grain grade, target resistivity and surface treatment requirements. Drawings are preferred.
Q: How do you control the performance consistency of blanks across different batches?
A: We strictly control raw material gradation. Resistivity and bulk density are tested through sampling finished products. Complete material traceability records are retained for each batch.
